Business

Is the company getting stronger, not just bigger? · 3 findings
−9 of −30

    −2
  • Quality of growth
H1 growth (+6% in local currency) came mainly from volume, not price. The Systems segment is shrinking: EUR 873m (2022) → 671m (2025) → 614m TTM.

  • Multiples vs own history and peers
Forward P/E 13.4 vs 13.7–15.6 in 2022–25 (25.6 in 2021); the previously cited 'average of about 19' was wrong. EV/EBITDA 6.3 vs 7.0–7.5 in 2022–25. Cheap on earnings, but P/FCF 36 and EV/FCF 36 because of the investment wave, and EPS is expected −10% in 2026.

Caveats

What the score does not capture, or where the data is weak.
The EBIT margin has fallen from 17.5% (2024) to 13.1% in H1 2026, and it is guided to 13–14% despite raised revenue guidance. Investment of about EUR 750m in 2026 eats almost all the cash flow. The seized Russian subsidiary sued the parent company for RUB 8.6bn on 11/8. The dividend fell 34% due to the accounting loss on Russia. Alleged insider selling has not been found; only the chair's purchase in May and RSU grants.
