Business
Is the company getting stronger, not just bigger? · 2 findings−21 of −30
- −11MarginPractically no revenue (AUD 10,561). Operating loss AUD 1.55m and FCF −AUD 3.2m over the last 12 months (ROE −10%, counted only here).
- −10Future segment and project maturityThe Grønnedal resource is 208 Mt at 0.72% TREO, but only 6 Mt is Indicated and 202 Mt Inferred. There is no economic study, and the metallurgy (flotation, hydrometallurgy) is still at test level. The application for an exploitation licence is only expected in 2027.
Price
Today's multiples against the company's own history and its peers. · 1 finding−18 of −35
- −18Valuation vs historyEV is AUD 41m for a project with no economic study. P/B is 2.24, mid-range of 1.3–3.8 in 2021–25, and P/S is 4,364. The share price is −52% in a year, but market value has not fallen correspondingly, because the share count has risen 44%.
Cracks
Cash flow, customers, debt, insiders, guidance and what sits behind the headline numbers. · 4 findings−24 of −35
- −9FundingCash was AUD 5.4m (December 2025) with no debt, vs FCF of −AUD 3.2m. A 17-hole diamond drilling programme from October 2026 plus the SIA/EIA means new raises within 1–2 years.
- −10DilutionThe share count has risen 43.9% in a year (20%, 9% and 19% in earlier years) to 3.29bn shares, and AUD 9m of shares were issued over the last 12 months.
- −2Regulation and geopoliticsGreenland's 2021 uranium law stopped Kvanefjeld, another REE project in South Greenland, and triggered an arbitration case. Greenlandic REE regulation is therefore a real political risk for REE projects in the area.
- −3Coverage and liquidityA penny stock (AUD 0.014) with no analysts and insiders at 11.8%; it is only listed on the ASX and not available at Nordnet.
Plus
Only documented strengths. · 1 finding+1 of +15
- +1Resource growthThe 2025 campaign more than doubled the Grønnedal resource from 89 Mt to 208 Mt at an unchanged 0.72% TREO (about 456,000 t of NdPr oxide), and the mineralisation is open along strike and at depth.
Caveats
What the score does not capture, or where the data is weak.
ASX: EPM, price AUD 0.014, 3.29bn shares. The main asset is Ivigtût–Grønnedal in South Greenland (the old cryolite mine and the Grønnedal carbonatite with rare earths); there are also smaller Australian projects. stockanalysis' figures only run to December 2025 (TTM), and the annual report for the fiscal year to June 2026 is not included. The resource is 208 Mt at 0.72% TREO, but 97% is Inferred. There is no scoping study or PEA, and the exploitation licence application is planned for 2027. The uranium and thorium content at Grønnedal (relevant for the uranium law) and AFR's mention of a "$20m mystery" about Cape Desolation have not been examined. No analysts. Not found in Nordnet's search.
