    −8
  • Quality of growth
Revenue fell 44% in FY2026, and the sales of 400,000 lbs came from inventory, while own production was only 229,294 lbs, vs a licensed capacity of about 12m lbs a year. Q3 was hit by delayed permits for new header houses.
    −5
  • Capital allocation
Share issuances of USD 530m in FY2026 (share count +13% to 495.6m), after 288m in FY2025 and 177m in FY2024; the money has gone to acquisitions (Sweetwater, Roughrider), physical uranium and a new conversion project (UR&C), while production is still small. • Multiples vs history and absolute level
EV/Sales 109 and forward P/S 92 vs 8-57 in FY2022-25 (FY2024 without revenue); P/B 3.3 is in the upper half of its own history (2.2-3.9). EV of USD 4.06bn is paid for production of about 0.33m lbs a year (Q4 pace), and liquid assets (USD 753m incl. uranium and shares) cover only about 17% of market cap.

Cracks

Cash flow, customers, debt, insiders, guidance and what sits behind the headline numbers. · 4 findings
−10 of −35
  • No order book
At 31/7-2026 the company had no purchase or sales agreements; all sales are at spot price. That gave a high realised price (93.13 USD/lb), but earnings follow the spot price directly, and it has fallen from approx. 101.55 USD to approx. 90 USD.
    −3
  • Permits
The permits for the Goliad project in Texas (Class III injection wells and production area) are contested and await final decision, and delayed approvals of header houses lowered production and lifted cost per lb in Q3.
    −3
  • New capital-intensive project
The UR&C conversion and refining project (Fluor, 63 people) has as yet no capacity or plant budget; a Class IV estimate is not expected until mid-2027, so the capital requirement is unknown.
    −2
  • Short interest
60.0m shares are sold short (12.1% of shares, 7 days to cover); the price is −34% over a year and below the 50- and 200-day averages.

Caveats

What the score does not capture, or where the data is weak.
Fiscal year ends 31/7; the figures are for FY2026 (report 29/9/2026). The company has no proven reserves under SEC rules, so a large part of production costs is expensed: stockanalysis shows gross profit of USD −68.5m, while the company itself reports gross profit on the sale of 400,000 lbs from inventory at USD +16.9m. 'Total Cost per Pound' (USD 39.94) is the company's own non-GAAP measure excluding depreciation. No analyst NAV has been found, so P/NAV and EV per lb of resource vs peers have not been calculated. Insider trades in 2026 (Form 4) and management compensation have not been examined. The stakes in Uranium Royalty Corp (7.6%) and Anfield (32.6%) have not been valued separately.
