Business
Is the company getting stronger, not just bigger? · 3 findings−21 of −30
- −11MarginNo revenue. Operating loss £1.03m and FCF −£1.85m over the last 12 months (ROE −12%, counted only here).
- −7Future segment and project maturityAmitsoq is only at PEA level (NPV $179m, IRR 26.7%, capex $131m). Phase III drilling is delayed by geotechnical surveys, and the PFS is only planned to start at the end of 2026. There is no production timeline.
- −3Capital allocationA company with 6 employees and under £1m in cash is spreading itself across both a mine and an anode plant (FS capex $321m incl. a 25% contingency) plus a pilot plant in Hørsholm. The total capital need is about $450m, or about 27 times market value.
Price
Today's multiples against the company's own history and its peers. · 1 finding−17 of −35
- −17Valuation vs historyP/B is 1.39, the highest in the company's history (0.35–0.82 in fiscal 2022–25), and market value is +90% this year with no new economic study. EV/PEA NPV is about 0.1, but that is normal for an unfunded PEA-stage project.
Cracks
Cash flow, customers, debt, insiders, guidance and what sits behind the headline numbers. · 3 findings−25 of −35
- −13Funding and going concernCash was £0.65m vs £1.76m of debt (May 2026), with working capital of £0.56m. The EIFO loan (€5.2m) has only about €1.3m left, which the company says covers the rest of 2026. After that, new funding is needed.
- −9DilutionThe share count has risen 39.6% in a year and 35–40% a year since 2023 (304% in 2022). Mine and anode capex of about $450m vs a market value of £12.6m means massive dilution or a sale of the project.
- −3Coverage and liquidityAn AIM microcap with 6 employees and no analysts; the stock is not available at Nordnet.
Plus
Only documented strengths. · 2 findings+3 of +15
- +2PermitsA 30-year exploitation licence for Amitsoq from the Greenland government (December 2025), and the project has been designated a strategic project by the EU.
- +1Government supportA €5.2m loan from EIFO that does not have to be repaid or converted before December 2030, plus an EUDP grant of DKK 10.4m. That is non-dilutive funding.
Caveats
What the score does not capture, or where the data is weak.
Now called GreenRoc Strategic Materials Plc (formerly GreenRoc Mining, renamed July 2024), AIM: GROC, price 4.5 pence. Microcap (£12.6m) with 6 employees. Amitsoq only has a PEA (post-tax NPV $179m, capex $131m); the PFS starts in late 2026. The plan for an anode plant (FS: capex $321m) comes on top. The fiscal year ends 30/11, and the latest figures are the half-year to May 2026. Since then a further €2m has been drawn on the EIFO loan, so debt is now higher than the £1.76m in the figures. No analysts. The graphite price, China's dominance in graphite and anode material, and insider trading have not been examined. The share is not found in Nordnet's search.
